Moodle New Version Release
As reported by Michael Hawkins from Moodle HQ, the product team has been hard at work, releasing version 4.4.3 with significant backend enhancements.
Here is an overview of the latest release.
Overall about 75 fixes & improvements have been implemented in this latest release.
* Security fixes
The release includes 16 security fixes, 7 of which address serious vulnerabilities. The remaining fixes, while important, are less critical.
* BigBlueButton:
If you’re using BigBlueButton, there’s an important fix related to the recording-ready URL. Ensure you’re using the latest plugin version to avoid any potential issues to your learners,
* Quiz Activity:
This update also brings 6 fixes and enhancements to the Quiz activity. A critical issue addressed is the 404 error learners might encounter when the submission time ends or when they click ‘Submit all & Finish.’. Also, a new ordering question type has been introduced.
* UI improvements:
The course view page and several other UI improvements have been implemented.
* Custom reporting:
The custom reporting has been made further easier.
* MFA:
The multi-factor authentication has been simplified.

If you use the Quiz Timer plugin from elearningstack.com, a plugin helping you set a time cap at each question-level. you’ll be pleased to know it has also been updated to support Moodle 4.4.3.
